IR heating panels for efficient home and business heating
IR heating panels are a modern solution for electric room heating where
comfortable warmth, quiet operation and simple control are important.
Infrared heating transfers heat primarily towards objects, walls and other
surfaces in the room, creating a different heating effect from traditional
convection-based air heating.
The Infraboost range includes IR heating panels in different power ratings
and designs for living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, offices,
commercial spaces and other applications. Wall-mounted, ceiling-mounted
and portable models are available, as well as IR panels with WiFi control,
remote control or thermostatic regulation.
How do you choose the right IR panel power?
The required heating power depends on room size, ceiling height, insulation,
external walls, windows and the desired temperature. Smaller IR panels of
approximately 300–400 W are generally suitable for smaller spaces or
supplementary heating, while higher-powered models are better suited to
larger rooms or greater heat demand.
For smaller rooms, for example, the
Infraboost 400 W IR panel
can be a practical choice, while higher-powered panels are more suitable
for larger spaces or areas with greater heat loss.
How much electricity does an IR panel use?
The rated power of an IR panel indicates its maximum electrical power while
operating. A 400 W panel running continuously for one hour uses approximately
0.4 kWh of electricity, while an 850 W panel uses approximately 0.85 kWh.
Using an indicative electricity price of approximately
€0.24 per kWh, one hour of continuous operation would cost
approximately €0.10 for a 400 W panel and approximately
€0.20 for an 850 W panel.
The actual cost depends on your electricity price, tariff, supplier and other
charges. An IR panel also does not normally operate continuously at all times.
Thermostatic or WiFi control switches the heating on and off according to the
selected temperature and actual heating demand, so daily consumption also
depends on insulation, outdoor temperature, settings and usage.
Wall-mounted or ceiling-mounted IR panel?
Wall-mounted IR panels are suitable for many residential and commercial
spaces where simple installation and effective heat direction are important.
Ceiling-mounted IR panels are a good option when wall space should remain
free or when heat is best distributed from above.
You can also choose IR panels according to the room or application:
living room and kitchen
,
bathroom
,
office and commercial spaces
and other applications.
IR panels with WiFi control and thermostats
WiFi IR panels make it easier to adapt heating to your daily routine.
Depending on the model, temperature, schedules and operating modes can be
controlled remotely, while other models can be used with a remote control
or separate thermostat.
IR panel prices and choosing the right model
The price of an IR heating panel depends mainly on power output, dimensions,
materials, mounting type and additional functions such as WiFi, thermostat,
remote control or LED lighting. The correct choice should therefore be based
not only on price, but also on selecting the appropriate power output and
panel type for the room and intended use.
