A maintenance-free 12V AGM battery for dependable backup and cyclic power in UPS systems, alarms, emergency lighting, scooters, medical equipment, solar systems and other compatible applications.
The Qoltec 53036 is a 12V / 24Ah VRLA AGM battery with electrolyte absorbed in glass-fibre mats. This construction enables maintenance-free use, good resistance to shock and vibration, and a reduced risk of electrolyte leakage.
Its 360A maximum discharge current for 5 seconds and T12 (M5) terminal make it suitable for many systems requiring a compact 12V energy reserve or reliable power when mains supply is unavailable.

AGM means Absorbent Glass Mat – the electrolyte is absorbed in porous glass-fibre mats between the lead plates. This design helps reduce the risk of leakage and provides good mechanical resistance.
The battery has low self-discharge. At 25°C, the manufacturer specifies approximately 91% capacity retention after three months, 82% after six months and 65% after twelve months of storage.
Check dimensions, terminal type and proper charging
- Compare the 170 × 160 × 123 mm dimensions with the available installation space.
- Confirm that your system uses a T12 (M5) terminal and the correct polarity.
- Use a charger designed for 12V AGM or VRLA batteries.
The specified float-charge voltage is 13.5–13.8V; cyclic charging requires 14.4–15.0V. The maximum recommended charging current is 7.2A.
Use the correct charging regime for a long service life
- Avoid frequent and deep discharging where the application does not require it.
- Charge the battery with a suitable AGM charger or a system set to the correct charging voltage.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to very low or high temperatures.
Do not use an unsuitable charger or excessive charging current. Incorrect charging may shorten service life and damage the battery.
