Qoltec 52490 is an intelligent microprocessor-controlled battery charger designed for charging 12V and 24V lead-acid batteries. It is suitable for AGM, GEL, EFB, WET, SLA and DRY lead-acid batteries used in cars, motorcycles, trucks, campers, boats, lawnmowers, agricultural vehicles and quads.
The charger uses a 3-stage charging process, adapts charging parameters to the current battery condition and automatically switches off after charging, helping protect the battery from overcharging and extending its service life.

Charging process and repair mode
The charger uses intelligent 3-stage microprocessor-controlled charging, adapting voltage and current to the current battery state.
- CC stage: charging up to approximately 80% of battery capacity with constant maximum current
- CV stage: constant voltage charging from 14.1V DC to 14.8V DC while gradually reducing current
- Float stage: maintenance charging, reducing the voltage to approximately 13.0V DC – 13.8V DC
Repair function: the recovery mode lasts approximately 16 hours and is intended for batteries with very low voltage or sulphation caused by long-term non-use.
Power and connection
The charger is powered from a standard 220–240V AC mains supply and provides 12V / 24V output with 8A / 4A charging current. Connection is simple with red and black crocodile clips.
Easy connection: connect the red clamp to the positive battery terminal and the black clamp to the negative terminal, then select the appropriate operating mode.
