Important Information When Replacing an Older PX625 Battery
The designation PX625 was historically also used for older mercury batteries with a different nominal voltage.
Energizer EPX625G is a modern 1.5 V alkaline battery. Therefore, in some older cameras, light meters and other voltage-sensitive devices, it may not be a fully equivalent electrical replacement simply because the shape and dimensions are similar.
For vintage cameras and light meters, check the required voltage. If the device was originally designed for a 1.35 V mercury PX625 battery, using a 1.5 V alkaline battery may affect measurement accuracy.
