Important note on electrode appearance during use
When using gold electrodes with the CM2000 universal colloidal generator, the electrodes may alternately become lighter or darker due to automatic polarity switching. This is a normal process caused by standard oxidation during electrolysis on the electrode surface.
The thickness of the dark layer depends on the electrode current. After use, the dark coating does NOT need to be removed.
